The Senior Specialist, HR Security Solutions has responsibility for support and ongoing management of HR Solutions and systems in support of HR Security and HR Data Quality. This position works closely with others in HR Security and Information Management Operations, IT, and HR Operations to manage Data Audits, HR Data Request, and enhancements and upgrades to current HR systems enabling HR Security capabilities.
This position works closely with these groups to identify and recommend alternative solutions, leveraging existing HR tools and technologies. This role operates in a complex and matrixed environment and is expected to apply HR functional and technical expertise to drive performance. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished HR team member with project or operational team experience working globally.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Support the implementation and ongoing operations of Workday with specific focus on Data Quality, Data Security and Workday Security including but not limited to configuration, testing and support.
- Support the HR Security technology environment, with a strong focus on Workday modules, including configuration, testing, and support.
- Participates in strategy/process design sessions to consult on solutions (both existing and new) that will best achieve desired strategic outcomes.
- Participates in large and small projects, ongoing enhancements, upgrades, and HR Data Audit processes, and ensures support issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Work with HR Operations to ensure Workday business processes are completed in a manner that ensures the best possible data quality. Monitor data quality audits and implement changes to procedures to support continual improvement.
- Strong understanding of and appreciation for data privacy concepts and principles (ie importance of securing data at rest and in transit, ensuring data is used in a way that is consistent with the intended purpose).
- Serve as subject matter expert on data quality and security to consult with end users on appropriate system processes and procedures.
- Support HR Data Subscription Process to meet the company's requirement for HR data request.
- Works with process/functional lead and test leads to define test strategy and test plan and ensure execution of user testing.
Qualifications:
Required Experience and Skills:*
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience in Human Resources or Technology.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in Human Resources, or related discipline* (with Masters' degree, minimum experience is 4 years)
- Ability to quickly assesses business needs to identify opportunities where HR/ HRIS processes or systems can further the strategy or streamline processes.
- Workday functional knowledge and experience (Security) or other technology will also be considered.
- Ability to translate end-user requirements into technical functionality and vice versa.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Ability to act as a change agent and lead others through change.
- Ability to project lead and manage in a deadline driven environment.
- Ability to work independently and within a team and direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems and translate HR/ HRIS issues clearly and articulately into business terms.
- Juggle multiple priorities and manage expectations of different users and client groups.
- Effectively communicate system capabilities and opportunities while demonstrating understanding of client needs and requirements.
- Knowledge of Security and HR systems, processes and programs.
- Project leadership expertise, managing in a deadline-driven environment.
- Initiative, creativity, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, technical, problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated competencies in relationship management, facilitation, influencing skills, and working globally as well as cross-functionally.
- A team-oriented style and a collaborative approach to getting work done. Ability to be hands-on and entrenched in the details when necessary.
- Ability to seek direction when needed as well as in working independently/ self-directed with limited and/or an evolving set of available information.
