Looking for a PD EPM to own and drive new product development in the Home EPM team! The PD Engineering Program Manager is responsible for the technical management of engineering development projects within Apple's Product Design organization. They will understand the who, what and how of hardware development, create and manage the program plan, and successfully implement it while balancing several contending objectives and aggressive deliverable timelines.
Key Qualifications
- 2-5 years of leading program management of mechanical engineering design of rapid development products comprising multiple materials of high aesthetic quality.
- Strong technical background with knowledge of manufacturing processes and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Resilience and flexibility when faced with uncertainty and changes in direction
- Self motivated with strong critical thinking capabilities
- Great attention to detail and ability to effectively handle complexity
- Excellent communication, organization, collaboration and leadership skills; ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
Description
Successful candidates will have a proven track record of enabling larger cross-functional teams to deliver mechanically complex systems efficiently and with high quality. The ideal candidate will understand the mechanical and hardware integration details, orchestrate all of it into a program plan and schedule, then successfully manage execution of the program plan. Key Responsibilities: Drive closure of PD architecture and technical opens in early stages of a project Establish and manage program feature baseline, scheduling, budget, critical paths, and technology risk areas for execution through final delivery of the product Identify and highlight technical risk areas and mitigation strategies in partnership with impacted teams Offer multiple levels of status across a wide spectrum of individual contributors to executive management Drive drawing releases and tooling kickoff with PD Engineering team and the vendors to meet aggressive schedules Plan and execute prototype builds, directing factory operations and cross functional teams Lead cross-functional communication between project teams and external vendors. Note international travel (up to 25%) is required (post covid restrictions)
Education & Experience
BS or MS degree in engineering, ME preferred

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $113,500 and $207,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
