Water Street Solutions is a Peoria, IL based agricultural consulting business. Our purpose is to empower our farmer clients to strengthen their business by providing education, guidance, and analysis tailored to their farm in the areas of commodity marketing, grain merchandising, and financial services.

The selected candidate will have an opportunity to work with ASP.NET MVC, Microsoft SQL Server, React, C#, JavaScript, and Microsoft Azure. This is a great opportunity for a developer who would like the freedom to explore new technologies and continue to learn as they will have flexibility to help chart the future direction of the project.

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, during regular office hours. Competitive salary, bonus program, and benefits.

Key Accountabilities:

· Accountable for regularly producing tools and resources that effectively contribute to the solution features and/or components

· Works with team members to define the requirements and associated features of an application

· Develops, builds, installs, tests, and configures solutions

· Maintains code integrity and organization

· Contributes to end-to-end delivery workflows

· Evaluates existing applications and platforms and provides recommendations for improving application performance, identifies feasible alternative solutions when necessary

· Adheres to security requirements and compliance requirements and uses appropriate security framework and tools

· Assists with internal auditing of ISSP

· Troubleshoots, diagnosis, documents, and resolves support issues

· Proactively maintains systems as required

· Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualities and Experiences:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Engineering, or similar field preferred (will consider applicants with equivalent experience)

· 1-3 years of experience in the field, including internships and self-led projects

· Basic programming knowledge, good reasoning, and good communication skills

· Ability to work across multiple environments including cloud (Microsoft Azure) and on-premises

· Use modern web development technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)

· Ability to develop solutions for both mobile and desktop

· Collaborate with company stakeholders and develop constructive working relationships to understand and scope development needs

· Apply original thinking to produce new ideas and innovation

· Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL experience preferred)

· Experience with source code versioning tools (git experience preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
