We are looking for looking for a talented and highly motivated software engineer with distributed computing technologies experience or knowledge in Hadoop (Hive, Scala, Spark, Impala) with ETL, to help with the Teradata to Hadoop Re platforming and support existing applications
Role Overview
Enterprise Finance Technology’s COO team is looking for motivated new talent to software engineer with distributed computing technologies experience or knowledge in Hadoop (Hive, Scala, Spark, Impala) with ETL, to help with the Teradata to Hadoop Re platforming and support existing applications.
This role will oversee ETL activities for Profit and PAM applications, and legacy applications within Enterprise Finance Technology focused on development activities, leadership, risk identification and remediation.
Required Skills and Experience we are Looking For:
- Banking financial management accounting data sourcing application designer & developer with solution integration
- Application development using ETL (Extract, transform, Load), Program SQL, and/or Hadoop (Cloudera Hive, Scala, Spark, Impala) technologies
- Full application development life cycle starting from high-level requests through production support
- Maintain & enhance legacy financial data sourcing applications and migrate them over time to target state Hadoop platform
- Work as a member of a cross-discipline Agile development team
- Consult & advise peer team on design & development skills & best practices.
Desired Skills and Experience we are Looking For:
- 5+ years of application development experience
- Recent and applicable application development & solution integration experience in one or more of our core technologies:
DataStage ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) or other ETL
Oracle PL/SQL Program SQL
Cloudera Hive, Scala, Spark, Impala
Linux bash/ksh shell scripting
Connect:Direct/NDM and SFTP file transfer
- Complex SQL query
- Agile Kanban JIRA story grooming & execution.
- Financial domain experience
- Teradata TTU SQL
