Job Details

This role oversees and directs the R&D, Value Engineering, Software Engineering, and System Engineering teams and is responsible for the overall performance of the Engineering organization. The leader of each team reports directly to this person.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute the strategic agenda for the Engineering organization
• Drive creation of efficient and cost-effective solutions by solving complex business and technical issues and applying best-in-class

engineering processes and practices

• Prioritize R&D and value engineering projects in collaboration with Sales
• Works across teams to properly schedule, approve and track engineering project plans through the project lifespan and ensure quality systems

delivery that is on time and within budget.

• Report on the status of design, quality, delivery, and system performance to management.
• Ensure that organizational decisions such as staffing, development, technology, and facilities are in line with the annual budget and company

business plan.

• Collaborate with the executive leadership team to develop and meet organizational goals.
• Identify, recommend, and implement new technologies and systems to improve organizational processes and decision-making.
• Establish, communicate and implement engineering and development policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure

effective and consistent operations.

• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in engineering and development related to the organization's industry.
• Negotiate cost-effective contracts for the organization; coordinate and implement strategies with suppliers through a partnership with the

quality and production planning teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of related experience is required.
• 5+ years of related Material Handling experience required, including

Expert understanding of conveyor equipment within the material handling industry.

Understanding of function and design of automated material handling systems.

Familiar with the standard conveyor concepts, terminology, practices, and procedures typically used in the material handling industry.

• 5+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams (20+ engineers) required.
