 Main Functions:

  • Supervises and controls Bus Operations activities in assigned service area at the Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT), George Washington Bridge Station (GWBBS), North Bergen Park and Ride, and Vince Lombardi Park and Ride - Station Starters and/or Ticket Agents.
  • Ensures traffic flow through the PABT is managed effectively and company funds are kept secure.
  • Monitors assigned platforms to ensures courteous and complete information is provided regarding all service at the PABT. Ensures that special situations and emergencies are managed professionally.
  • Operates and monitors the Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT) computerized bus management system and the park/ride revenue control system.
  • Assists passengers at Park and Ride Lots with TVM and Automated Gate system issues. 

    • Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, and two (2) years of customer service experience within the last five (5)years. Bus Operations experience preferred. Computer skills and good written communications skills, and experience using Microsoft Word desired.
  • This is a 24/7 operation. Employees in the title of Part Time Terminal Supervisor work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays as NJ Transit operations dictate. Must be willing to respond to emergencies and work extra hours.
    • Salary of $28.75/hour.
