In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Evaluate product changes to determine risk areas. Create test plans to maximize quality, minimize risk, and balance timeline, features, and validation.
  • Ensure the team is validating the delivery appropriately through proper planning, creation, and execution of manual and automated testing.
  • Create, maintain, and perform test automation scripts for web applications
  • Create, maintain, and perform manual test scripts for web applications
  • Contribute to test automation framework for web applications
  • Follow best practices creating designs and write maintainable, reusable automation code
  • Work directly with product and development to understand project concepts, objectives and approach of software development projects to ensure the QA perspective is represented and executed.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to implement quality processes
  • Participate in all aspects of testing including functional, performance, and regression testing.
  • Review regression results to quickly determine if products are ready for market.
  • Collaborate with team staff on proper quality methods to plan and execute software product validation
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively
  • Assist with investigating and debugging product issues

The successful candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in a computer related degree program or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of professional Software Engineering validation experience
  • 2+ years of professional SDET experience with modern web and API test tools and technologies
  • 5+ years experience validating web applications in AWS of Azure
  • Experience with JMeter or similar technologies
  • Experience with Webdriver.IO or similar technologies
  • Consistent track record of successfully delivering the right solution that balances product, quality, technical, and timeline requirements
  • Ability to translate product requirements and user flows into test plans that prove we are delivering the right solution
  • History of executing quality validation to successfully deliver the right product
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills showing an ability to interface with business stakeholders and engineers
  • A self-starter with an acute sense of ownership and the ability, passion, creativity, and confidence to independently problem solve and produce results
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where context switching is required
  • Experience working with Agile development practices
  • Strong history of moving quality to the left
  • SQL skills

  • Experience with deployment methodologies such as CI/CD and incorporating automated validation into the pipeline
  • Experience developing JavaScript
  • Experience writing unit tests
  • Java or .NET development experience
