Job Description SummaryThe Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that assigned office(s) are survey ready and documentation is compliant. The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that assigned offices are complying with the Florida state Statutes and Rules, Conditions of Certificate of Need (CON), Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) standards, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) conditions of participation and other regulatory licensures requirements. Essential Job Functions/ResponsibilitiesWorks as an accountability coach for hospice agency to ensure all Conditions within the CON application are met.Works with various team to complete common goals.Coordinates trainings with the Business development and Clinical teams.Performs trainings/educations as appropriate for referrals sources, community, and hospice team members.Assists in scheduling educational appointments within the community and for referral sources. Assists in planning and scheduling education trailer deployment. Assist in education trailer activities as indicated and requested. Collaborates with Volunteer and Bereavement programs to ensure appropriate level of involvement in agencies. Reports concerns to the Director of Compliance and other senior leadership, as appropriate. Review documentation to ensure compliance and communicates findings and recommendations to Clinical Manager and hospice personnel.Provides education and assists in developing Plan of Correction or PIP (performance improvement plan) to bring identified areas into compliance.Ensures compliance with Conditions of CON.Preparing declaratory statements for annual compliance report.Preparing annual compliance report for the Agency of Health Care Administration (AHCA). Assists Regional Director of Compliance and Survey Readiness/Compliance Officer to identify areas of risk and develop plan to bring into compliance.Provides education to agency team members.Assist with program implementation and ensure ongoing provision on Moments Hospice programs.Provides education, guidance, and assistance on the Emergency Preparedness Program to agency leadership and team members.Assists with committees, meetings, and team projects relevant to regulatory compliance as well as department/intra-department problem-solving.Assists in the orientation of new employees, as requested.Demonstrates understanding of HIPAA requirements.Assists Regional Director of Clinical Operations and other supervisory hospice personnel in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of in-service and continuing education programs.Assists with new start up agencies which may include, but not limited to, preparing for initial survey, staff orientation and education, assisting with office set up.Assists in providing statistical data for use in tracking & trending of data for Quality Assurance and Utilization Review (QAUR)/Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee and Plan.Complies with accepted professional standards and principles.Assesses learning needs of all hospice personnel. Plans and provides education in conjunction with Regional Director of Clinical Operations and other hospice leadership.Assists on other projects and committees as requested.Travel to assigned agency(s).
