About Our Client
My client is a general contractor in the greater St. Louis area with over 20+ years of experience. They have built a great reputation in the market and are also well-known for doing work safely and quickly. Their projects typically range anywhere from $1M- $40M. These projects are focused in: industrial, restaurants, religion, education, and commercial. They are looking for a Senior Project Manager or a Project Director with extensive leadership with operation management skills, client facing, and enjoys running projects.
Job Description
- Work with architects and engineers during design phase
- Analyze potential risks to the projects
- Manage construction process from preconstruction stage through to completion
- Lead subcontractor selection
- Put together budgets based on estimated material and labor costs
- Lead meetings with the internal team on project updates
- Keep blueprints up to date based on necessary changes
- Keep safety guidelines enforced at all times during the project
- Assist with employee mentoring
- Oversee project management team and manage the day-to day operations
- Ability to make decisions that consider both schedule and budgets
- Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors
- Manage scope review process
- Negotiate change orders
- manage permit and occupancy with government agencies
- Conduct regular status meetings with project team
- Deliver projects on time and within company profit targets

The Successful Applicant
- At least 7-10+ years of experience in a Senior Project Manager or Project Director role
- Bachelor's Degree (Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management is plus)
- Experience with projects $1M+
- Collaborative, team player
- Ability to lead
- Customer Relationship Management skills
