This team is responsible for the design, analysis, development test, and field support of gears, splines, bearings, oil-air seals, and lubrication systems on all Honeywell Aerospace propulsion engines, APUs, and advanced technology programs.
We are looking for someone with significant experience designing and analyzing gears and splines. Additional experience in areas relevant to the team is a big advantage. You will solve complex problems and will help drive implementation of state-of-the-art software tools and methods. Typical responsibilities involve leading design, development, and test activities including operation, data collection, and analysis. You must be able to lead and mentor component design and analysis engineers while working effectively with design teams, project engineers, global support, chief engineers, and customers.

You Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
12+ years of gear design and analysis experience
Must be US citizen due to contractual requirements
We Value
Advanced understanding and application of these disciplines: gears & power transmission, kinematics & mechanisms, strength of materials, fatigue lifting, gear manufacturing processes
Extensive experience in gear and spline design analysis
Aptitude for mechanical designs and system conceptualization
Experience using advanced numerical simulation codes (for example, OSU Load Distribution Program, ANSYS, Romax, etc)
Familiarity with mechanical component rig testing
Motivated to drive improvements in a meaningful environment
Passion for solving challenging problems
Ambitious and able to work with little supervision, consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or necessitated by events
Possess a wide degree of curiosity, creativity, and flexibility
Ability to work with other team members ensuring timely completion of assignments
Ability to juggle many priorities and competing demands easily and effectively
Good interpersonal skills both written and verbal
Experience with gas turbines and gas turbine gearbox systems
Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and application
