Job Description


Faithful+Gould, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, in the UK & Europe, is currently recruiting for a Workspace Engagement Manager to be based in our Birmingham office.


This is an fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to be a key part of our Project Management team.


The Workspace Engagement Manager is responsible for working with Clients to help implement workspace change that achieves their defined business objectives and improves organisational effectiveness and efficiency.


The ideal candidate will have a passion for outstanding customer service and a proven track record of effective stakeholder management at all levels within an organisation.


With a background based in the delivery of business change initiatives they will have strong verbal and written communication skills, a high degree of personal resilience and a drive to deliver.


The role works closely with the Project Manager, under the guidance of the Workplace Change manager to manage design changes in accordance with defined standards and processes and manages project communications ensuring feedback is captured documented and responded to.


Role Objectives :



  • To implement change management plans as part of wider Workplace projects.

  • To undertake stakeholder management activities as part of wider change delivery team and ensure that voice of the people is captured.

  • To support the project team with their engagement of client leadership and manage the advocacy of the planned business changes.

  • Work closely with the Workplace Change manager to roll out new ways of working best practice in line with the Workplace Guide, both within SNC Lavalin sites and external client locations, as well as supporting innovation.

  • Support clients with cultural and behavioural change management to align with their new ways of working.



Key Outputs and Activities :



  • Work with Workplace team to understand scope of the change requirements and where necessary provide assistance with both occupancy and employee surveys to develop project scope.

  • Develop space utilisation reports, workplace presentations, draft communications for leadership teams.

  • Develop stakeholder and engagement plan in conjunction with the lead Project Manager’s master programme of works.

  • Support the definition of the people change aspects of workplace transformation projects to enable faster employee adoption, greater engagement and realisation of benefits.

  • Provide a high degree of stakeholder engagement and management throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Support project delivery through stakeholder engagement and the agreement of material design changes.

  • Monitor change progress and staff engagement, encouraging greater participation by celebrating success and being on-hand following completion of the workplace project to capture and report any outstanding issues as part of the broader project lifecycle.

  • Work with the Workplace Change manager to ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle and implement tools to embed agreed changes.

  • Capture the effectiveness of the project, facilitating a lessons learnt and compliance review so that future projects benefit for both SNC Lavalin and our clients.

  • Implement communications plans, deploy change tools and support the delivery of Agile Working presentations where required.

  • Be a single point of contact local change champions network and provide the tools they need to embed Agile working.

  • Assist the definition of critical success factors, monitoring change activities.

  • Contribute to future bid submissions with case studies and client feedback.


Qualifications, Training, Experience :



  • Competent negotiation and communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Stakeholder Management.

  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent people skills and emotional intelligence.

  • Willingness to embrace innovation and wider sector best practice.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Experience of refurbishment / fit-out, workplace projects.

  • Qualification in Project or Change Management.
