Located in vibrant Midtown Sacramento, Rhombus is looking for a Electrical Engineer who will help design the future of intelligent physical security for businesses. You ll be designing IoT, sensor, wireless, and controller products integrated into our smart security ecosystem, from the ground up including system design, component selection, board design, and collaboration with mechanical design and product teams.

What You'll Do:
- EE system architecture, planning out design strategies and block diagrams to enable crucial product functions.
- PCBA design from start to finish, including component selection based on requirements and availability.
- Testing and debugging, including battery life and wireless performance requirements.
- Supporting ODM EE efforts in other products as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in electrical or electronic system design, validation, and testing. IoT/battery/wireless experience a big plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including executive presentations.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams: mechanical, software, and test.
- Deep understanding in product design testing and characterization.
- Current knowledge of industry standards for consumer and industrial products.
- Familiarity with environmental, reliability, compliance, and safety requirements for electrical equipment.
- Deep understanding of MCU architectures, ability to write embedded test codes for hardware verifications
- Low level understanding of serial interfaces: USB, I2C, I2S, SPI, Ethernet
This position is onsite & full-time based in Sacramento, CA.
Compensation is dependent on experience.
