We are looking for a Senior Product Specialist VRF Controls to join our team. This role supports the operational aspects of sales and serviceability for Haier VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) and Ductless products, with a focus on Controls products and solutions. Through cross functional relationships with product management, sales, marketing, technical service, and engineering, the Product Specialist will assist with end-to-end support, from product design and feature capability, VRF controls system application design, functionality, service, and training, to enable the best service and ownership experience. This is a remote position, reporting to the Director of Product Management - VRF.

How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Work with Spec Reps and Distributor channel partners to make sure the VRF controls products are properly applied and integrated into the overall project Controls solution by providing channel-partner-focused Controls training and application support

  • Provide over-the-phone, email and/or onsite job site assistance to Spec Reps, Distributors, Contractors/Installers, and internal sales personnel for Controls systems installation, troubleshooting, startup and integration

  • Partner to create Controls product application material content, provide Controls product and application training to internal and external sales force and customers, work with sales and product team and overcome specific application challenges

  • Partner to create training course materials for Ductless and VRF Controls solutions, including: controls overviews, controls deep-dive, design and applications, installation, startup/commissioning, troubleshooting and service

  • Provide technical expertise in creation and review of catalogs, brochures, submittals, guide specifications, engineering manuals etc for Controls products.

  • Analyze, build, and maintain competitive Controls product application strategies for existing and new competitive products in the market

  • Work closely with the Product team and factory R&D engineers to understand existing and new product features and operation to create strategic direction for proper product applications and competitively advantaging Haier over competitors

  • Assist with identifying product needs, evaluate feasibility of product concepts, and develop documentation to effectively communicate concepts and requirements for use in the product planning roadmap

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or technical training.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the residential and commercial HVAC industry

  • Working knowledge of building automation system and controls

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and architectural blueprints, specifications and HVAC equipment submittal data

  • Comfortable presenting to and engaging with a technical audience including engineers, distributors and contractors.

  • Strong problem-solver with a passion for training and customer support.

  • Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint presentations & Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree

  • Technical experience in VRF controls (variable refrigerant flow) background is a plus
