The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer located in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies
  • Refine, validate, coordinate and implement conceptual designs and manage the program architecture for build
  • Develop manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization
  • Conduct complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements
  • Resolve complex technical problems
  • Serve as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained
  • Lead advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities
  • Deploy company Lean Enterprise analysis methods
  • Document and communicate producibility best practices
  • Provide guidance to others through structured mentoring
  • This role requires travel up to 10%.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 5+ years of experience leading a Production Engineering Team.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Currently have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
  • 5+ years of experience working with satellite or space-based payloads
  • Experience with satellite antenna subsystems, and the antenna subsystem lifecycle: design, analysis, manufacturing, procurements, and assembly, integration, and test

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
