Overview:
The Fletcher School at Tufts University is seeking an Associate Director, Career Services for the Office of Career Services (OCS). This office helps students build critical career preparation skills, define their goals and connect with employment opportunities. The office provides services to graduate students and alumni.

The Associate Director, Career Services provides guidance and insights to a diverse U.S./international graduate student body on career paths, job skills needed, job search strategizing, networking, application/resume review and interview preparation. This person will deliver services in both one-on-one and group settings.

The Associate Director, Career Services provides guidance and insights to a diverse U.S./international graduate student body on career paths, job skills needed, job search strategizing, networking, application/resume review and interview preparation. This person will deliver services in both one-on-one and group settings.
Essential Functions:
Managing/designing/updating/teaching the Professional Development Program (PDP), a series of workshops required for graduation
Offering workshops on the job search process and sector-specific programming
Providing career development and job search coaching to all Fletcher students in one-to-one meetings, drop-in sessions and via email; Some job search coaching to alumni
Conducting employer outreach to organizations in assigned/designated sectors and relationship management with existing and new employers. This includes recruiting organizations to participate in two major career events
Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant post-graduate professional experience
Understanding of potential career opportunities and application processes among IGO’s (e.g., UN system), INGO’s, non-profit organizations, the public sector and private sector and/or willingness to learn about them
Proven ability to design and implement engaging instructional programs/workshops
Demonstrated experience developing and presenting information in a compelling way to individuals and groups
Demonstrated skill in connecting job applicants with resources and/or internship/full time opportunities
Computer proficiency and demonstrated experience in use of computer applications, online video platforms and other web-based technology
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, as well as facilitation and public speaking skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively on teams
A commitment to diversity, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within diverse communities
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred
Experience advising/coaching a diverse student population including both U.S. and international students
Curriculum design training
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas), career services management platforms, and other technology as needed and/or willingness to learn them
