A Distribution Modeling and Analysis Engineer is needed for a world class utility company. Remote (must be close to the company site)work. This position will be responsible to the assigned supervisor for performing complex engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives.

responsibilities:
- Utilize PowerClerk, ArcGIS, IPS and other internal software applications to gather information needed to develop distribution system models.
- Collaborate with other company Business Units and departments to gather information needed to develop Distribution System models.
- Develop CYME models of distribution stations, distribution circuits and distributed energy resource facilities for use in interconnection studies.
- Use Aspen to generate transmission system Thevenin impedances.
- Use station one-lines, transformer test data, etc. to build distribution station models in CYMDist.
- Build and verify distribution circuit models within CYMDist, populating or updating equipment ratings and settings as needed.
- Use customer provided one-lines, equipment specification sheets, descriptions of operation, etc. to model distributed energy resource facilities.
Engineer:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
- ABET - 2+ years of experience.
- Has typically acquired 6 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET or
- 4 years of related engineering experience along with a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is encouraged and preferred.
- ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET), or
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
