RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client is seeking to hire an Application Support Engineer in Richfield, Ohio (OH).
Summary:
The role will provide technology support for the installation, maintenance, testing, and support of local area networks, routing, switching, wide area data networks, internet protocols and architecture. You will also work on information security solutions and technologies which cross over internal functional boundaries and a wide range of commercial accounts.
Responsibilities include:
* Works closely with Information Services and internal and external customers on the resolution of complex security and network technical problems
* Application Support Engineer provides input to and helps guides new hardware and software installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting
* Reviews and acts on daily security and network performance data and diagnostics for the network infrastructure
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-7+ years of experience with overall computing architectures, Security architectures/tools, WWW architectures, LAN/WAN networking, application design concepts and architectures, languages, and tools across a wide spectrum of computing platforms and technologies
* Experience working with commercial developers and customers on the deployment, debugging and support of WWW (Tomcat, Apache and IIS) products and infrastructure
* Ability to read, modify, understand bash and python scripting languages
* Administration skills of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
