Maintains accurate patient records and department logs as required.Job Description:Principle ResponsibilitiesPatient scheduling and registration r rAnswers phones promptly and schedules, verifies or re-schedules appointments. rCollects and enters all required patient scheduling information into system. rVerifies demographic and insurance information, updates as needed. rMay collect copay and issue a receipt. rMay conduct charge review, collection and entry. rAssures accurate patient orders are received. rInstructs patient and staff regarding special instructions and preparation. rGreets and checks in patients upon arrival. r Maintain departmental records, reports and files r rMaintain patient records and department logs as required. rPrints and distributes reports as required. rMay update scheduling procedure manual. rMay be accountable for office supply ordering and stocking. r rOther duties as assigned. r rJob RequirementsHigh School or GED required and nVocational or Technical Training in medical field preferred 2 to 5 Years medical office experience, including scheduling and registering, within an automated environment preferred and n Working knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel preferred Leadership CapabilitiesSee the Big Picture: Know where we are going as an organization.
