Description

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for complex development activities on the Salesforce org that is dedicated to our Mortgage business line. They will work as a senior member of a cross-functional pod to deliver both internal and client-facing solutions. This role requires deep technical knowledge of the Salesforce platform, excellent communication skills, a creative and curious mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Senior Software Engineer will also act as a lead on strategic initiatives, including providing guidance, support, and knowledge sharing to more junior members of the development team.

Key Deliverables

  • Participate in all phases of software development life cycle including functional analysis, development, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
  • Develop high-quality, scalable applications with Visualforce, Apex, and Lightning frameworks (Aura and/or LWC), as well as declarative and configuration-driven development.
  • Implement new enhancements including creation of custom objects, workflows, validation rules, approval processes, flows, flow triggers and email alerts
  • Participate in one or more cross-functional PODs, working individually and collectively with your POD team members that include BSAs, Architects, Experience Owners, and Scrum Masters
  • Collaborate with junior developers to perform code reviews and provide feedback.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including process documentation, naming and commenting conventions, and policies/procedures

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of development or solutions architecture experience
  • Minimum of at least 5+ years of software development experience with Salesforce, with strong proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, and SOQL, and an in depth understanding of SFDC Profiles/Roles and Sharing Rules, Validation Rules, Tasks, Workflow rules, and Triggers, etc.
  • Extensive understanding of the Salesforce data model, including how and when to create custom objects, junction objects, and other model items.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to lead initiatives with little oversight
  • Team-first mentality - valuing the success of the team over all else
  • Experience with Salesforce releasement management tools (ie Copado, AutoRABIT, Flosum)
  • Experience with Salesforce back-up tools (ie OwnBackUp)
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile delivery methodology
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification
  • Experience with Financial Services Cloud preferred
  • Prior experience in the Financial Services Industry preferred
