We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Acute Care Nurse to join our team. As an Acute Care Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care in a fast-paced and demanding environment. You will be responsible for assessing patients' conditions, administering treatments and medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

As an Acute Care Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with patients in various stages of acute illnesses or injuries. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and supporting patients and their families during times of crisis. Your expertise in critical thinking, clinical judgment, and effective communication will contribute to the provision of comprehensive and individualized care.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing patients' conditions, including performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories
  • Administering medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitoring and interpreting vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic test outcomes
  • Collaborating with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans
  • Documenting patient information, including symptoms, treatments, and outcomes, accurately and efficiently
  • Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies
  • Adhering to evidence-based practice guidelines and maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and healthcare staff

Requirements

  • Current and valid registered nurse (RN) license
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Experience in an acute care setting, such as a hospital or emergency department
  • Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care and continuous professional development
