For our radiation services community of practice, that means using innovative approaches to provide economical client solutions for complex environmental solutions.
We re seeking a mid-level Radiation Health Physicist to support projects for primarily our Navy and uranium mining restoration clients, though our portfolio is broad and many other clients and projects are included.
We are also wanting to develop your career to task and project management.Projects will involve a variety of field implementations for radiological assessments and remediation, plan development, data evaluation, desktop research and document reviews.
Must have experience in environmental projects that evaluate soil, groundwater, surface water, or sediments under the regulatory authority of the EPA, State departments of environmental quality, or Tribal agencies.
Projects could be executed under CERCLA, State Programs, or Consent Decrees that accomplish investigations, risk assessments, feasibility studies, engineering analysis, remedial actions, and closures.It is expected that field tasks would be required that include performing and or leading teams during surveys and assessments, characterizing radiological materials in various matrices, implementing radiation safety practices, and maintaining radiation program and regulatory compliance during project activities.Remote work is expected but preference given to California (West Coast Areas) and Virginia (East Coast Areas).The position offers the opportunity to elevate your Health Physics career working with and be mentored by the highly professional, experienced and credentialed Jacobs radiation services staff on a wide variety of health physics related issues.
Opportunities for leadership and ownership on projects is expected and developing technical as well as project management skills will be further developed.

Here s What You ll Need:
+ B.S.
degree in Radiation Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Environmental or Science related degree+ Experience with environmental projects under CERCLA or State Environmental Programs+ Environmental remediation (excavation or cover) experienceIdeally, You ll Also Have:
