The Interior Design Junior Project Manager is responsible for aspects of planning, budgeting, and execution for select interior design projects, under the supervision of a director, principal, and/or project manager. The individual will need to oversee the coordination of contractors and vendors across multiple trades and ensure they have the information needed to design and install the many components that will go into our homes. This individual should have experience in all design phases including construction administration and be able to guide entry- and junior-level positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating construction drawings in Revit, construction documentation, and specifications
- Drafting internal & external correspondence.
- Creating mood boards and supporting with presentation preparation in InDesign, as well as physical presentation layouts.
- Assisting in selecting & sourcing finishes and materials.
- General administrative tasks related to each phase, coordination with vendors, organizing samples and inventory, and other supportive tasks as needed.
- Coordinating with internal teams such as Architecture, Landscaping, or D�cor Studio and external communication with vendors, General Contractors, and/or Clients.
- Researching and contributing new ideas and solutions, engaging with project team & Studio, collaborating, and continued self-led learning.
- Mentoring and supporting entry-level designers in onboarding & training of company standards.
- Creating & managing project specification schedules (Finish, Plumbing, Appliances, Hardware, etc.).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior architecture, or interior design
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite. AutoCAD & Design Smart a plus.
- Basic understanding of construction & fabrication methodology techniques to inform the development of Interior details/drawings
- Working knowledge/previous experience in creating construction documents in Revit
