Software Test Engineer 100% Remote

Description:
This team does development for their onboard displays which are the primary interface to the precision planting and autonomy functions of the tractor. Much of the testing for specific applications is still done manually and needs to be automated.
The primary responsibilities for this role:
- Work cross functionally with the different software development teams
- Work to understand what the application is and what needs to be tested
- Work to create a test plan and test cases
- Develop test scripts in Python to test software
- Develop python test framework from scratch
- Develop end to end automation
- Run and execute the tests
- Smoke and sanity testing
- Work with various python libraries like pandas, numpy, pytest, etc.
- Review bugs and troubleshoot with the corresponding software teams
- code they are reviewing and testing will be mostly C++ and Java
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have 5+ years of software test experience
- Must have strong software qa and automation experience
- Must have Python scripting experience (version 3 or newer)
- Must have experience with helping to develop test plans and test cases from scratch
- experience designing and executing a python test automation strategy
- must have experience building python test framework and demonstrated experience doing so
- Experience with end to end automation
- Experience with smoke and sanity testing
