Facilities Inventory Control Supervisor, Gigafactory Nevada

Tesla is looking for a highly motivated Supervisor to lead our Gigafactory Nevada factory spare parts program. We are seeking a high performing leader to coach and direct the performance of a spares operations team. The role will lead a team of technicians who are responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate inventory levels of the manufacturing spare parts warehouses and inventory control system.

* Drive for operations excellence: optimization of stocked MRO, value optimization (kitting, RMA, etc), warehouse optimization, 5S, etc
* Coaching and guiding the career development and talent pipeline for a team with diverse skills, experiences, and capabilities, and sustaining & growing that with sincere engagement
* Coordinate with planning functions to provide world class service to factory operations
* Manage escalation protocols
* Supervise up to 10 technicians across 4 shifts
* All other activities as assigned
* Track record of excellence in current and prior roles, demonstrable with metrics or KPIs
* Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation, summarization, etc
* Exemplary people, organizational, project management, and escalation skills
* Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
* Able to lift up to 50 lbs, qualification & capability to use powered industrial vehicles
* Preferred qualifications: BS in STEM or relevant field, scale manufacturing experience, supply chain or purchasing experience, 2+ years maintenance or spare parts management experience
