Summary:


 


The Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer shall provide advanced manufacturing engineering support and assistance for products within Ultrasound technology. The Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer will be responsible for verifying and validating assembly and test documents, process validation plans and reports, test jigs, troubleshooting and repair of equipment, diagnostics, selection and implementation of new processes/equipment working closely with the QA and Design groups to ensure manufacturability and reliability of new designs.  As a Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer you will be the subject matter expert for the team, and lead all training functions for the team.


 


Essential Job Functions:



  • Execution of production schedule – building, assembly and testing of products; meet timelines and customer delivery requests

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve manufacturing issues related to the use and/or support of Fujifilm Sonosite products

  • Document and communicate manufacturing solutions and recommendations

  • Ensure new equipment is qualified for use and added to calibration and preventative maintenance schedules

  • Plan and execute equipment calibration

  • Develop and document manufacturing processes

  • Develop tooling and accessory for manufacturing processes

  • Qualify/Validate manufacturing processes as required

  • Plan and maintain process control strategies

  • Troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment

  • Establish traceability requirements for individual products/processes

  • Help transfer designs from Engineering into Manufacturing and manage suppliers for consistent and timely delivery of parts and components

  • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system


Knowledge/Experience:



  • BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Advanced knowledge and experience of printed circuit board (PCB) design and test processes.

  • 7-9 years’ experience with PCB testing and troubleshooting in both a development and sustaining manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of laser processing and micromachining.

  • Knowledge of medical device process validation and traceability requirements

  • Knowledge of manufacturing test development and validation

  • Thorough knowledge of software quality and regulatory standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and FDA QSR.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing techniques for prototypes and production versions of products.

  • Minimum five years’ experience in the manufacturing of (preferably medical) devices requiring a high degree of traceability and documentation.


Skills/Abilities:



  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 

  • Ability to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations
