Ellevation

FULL_TIME
We’re currently making a major investment in how our flagship product supports the communication and workflow needs of an EL program: facilitating the co-planning and collaboration for foundational progress monitoring and exit processes.

As an Instructional Content Manager to join our Education Solutions team, you’ll play a key role in designing, implementing, and operating this new version of a core part of our product. You’d be joining an existing cross-functional team currently working towards that solution. You’ll be expected to take ownership over discrete but complex pieces of it – working closely with Product Managers, User Experience Designers, and others.

We are looking for individuals who can bring knowledge of and passion for systems that drive equitable access to high-quality instruction for linguistically diverse learners. You'll be responsible for researching options and authoring content for Ellevation Platform. You’ll also oversee transadaptations and other development efforts to ensure content and resources are accessible and impactful for the broad and diverse families and communities school systems serve. And, most importantly, you will help Ellevation make a direct impact on how multilingual learners succeed in classrooms across the country.

We are looking forward to working with someone who demonstrates the following key characteristics:
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated, abstract elements of policy and research in a way that is comprehensible and compelling.
  • Understanding of technical and relationship constraints that influence options for learning design, content delivery, and implementation.
  • The ability to analyze multiple perspectives and opportunities and clearly communicate risks and benefits.

Impact:

  • 1 month: Build background knowledge and perspective on current solutions and future possibilities. Establish strong partnerships with key stakeholders and collaborators to fuel future collaboration and problem solving.

  • 3 months: Listen to and learn from our internal teammates as well as the partners we serve. Collaboratively participate in preliminary analysis and decision-making on key issues and opportunities related to educational content and learning impact. Contribute to guidelines and processes for flagship workflows.

  • 6 months: Independently engage in analysis and decision-making on key issues and opportunities related to educational content and learning impact.

  • 12 months: Augment and evolve the vision of instructional impact to reflect learnings from the field and drive greater student growth. Contribute new ideas and information that significantly impact business, mission, and/or team objectives. Drive efforts to iterate on ideas, narrowing, and distilling of ideas into specifications and samples

About You:

  • You have 5-7 years of experience with education policy; specific experience with special populations (multilingual learner policy experience preferred). This could be as part of a district, a research institution, or an EdTech company.

  • Experience with education policy and practice in 3 or more states/regions.

  • Specific focus on learning science related to multilingual learners preferred.

  • Demonstrated examples of excellent editorial skills including copy editing, style consistency, and information design.

  • You are a natural leader and are able to inspire and influence others.

  • You demonstrate an eagerness to learn from others.

About Us:

At Ellevation, we develop world-class software to help educators serve the fastest growing population of K-12 students: English Learners (ELs). Ellevation helps school districts transform their Multilingual Learner programs and ensure all students can achieve their highest aspirations. Our product suite includes a best-in-class data and instructional planning platform, resources to build teacher capacity, and student-facing programs to teach academic language.

We are a fast-growing, mission-driven technology company partnering with over 1,200 school districts and more than 3 million current and former English Learners. Over the next five years, we plan to double the number of ELs we serve and drive measurable outcomes for students. Ellevation merged with Curriculum Associates in 2021 to accelerate impact for Multilingual Learners. Our company continues to operate independently and is well-capitalized to support our ambitious social and financial objectives.
