Job Description
Steri-Tek helps to improve and save lives by sterilizing medical devices, pharmaceuticals and tissue products with electron beam radiation. The company is only 6 years old and expanding nationally. We are building our team in Fremont CA as well as opening a new facilities in Dallas TX and Raleigh NC. Our customers range from large medical device companies that send us truckloads of products down to the smallest start-ups that use us to sterilize new products that will eventually save and/or improve lives. Requirements
The Linear Accelerator Engineer is the primary resource and subject matter expert for the maintenance/servicing of the
linear accelerator systems. Be a liaison with suppliers for the linear accelerators and maximize system performance an uptime. Will serve as technical counsel for other departments within Steri-Tek.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge on irradiation equipment, processes, and industry.
- Maintain a basic level of knowledge of Quality System Requirements (ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820).
- Maintain comprehensive records of servicing and maintenance for the accelerator systems and any ancillary equipment.
- Provide recommendations for process improvement and system health.
- Provide technical expertise to other departments on an as-need basis (example, provide technical background to Quality for non-conformance, CAPA process. Provide technical background to Radiation Services for validation activities.)
- Maintain training to provide support for PQ dose mapping to the Radiation Services department.
Requirements
- Medical Device industry experience 1-3 years
- Proficient in English language (written and spoken)
- Microsoft Office
- Engineering Degree (BSc) or equivalent experience (engineering title 1-3 years)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical Device industry experience 3-5 years
- Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or CS degree preferred
- Engineering Experience 1-3 years)
- Radiation Sterilization (contract or in-house) Operations/Engineering/Validations 1-3 years
