SUMMARY:

One of the largest and most respected security providers to the worlds leading critical infrastructure is seeking an Industrial Security Manager for a large industrial site in southeast Texas.

This role will partner with the Chief Operations Officer, while working closely with the FSO in the leadership and mentoring of an experienced and well-trained armed security force. Will lead a group of half dozen supervisors and indirect reports up to 75 individuals providing armed and unarmed security to a large industrial complex.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will be ultimately responsible for all contractual security concerns regarding the protection of a client owned facility. This includes, but not limited to:
  • Ensuring implementation and management of the Quality Management System, including all the plan components, and required documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements, including knowledge of applicable laws ( Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) regulations 33 CFR 105, and agency guidance (U.S. Coast Guard policies, procedures, and MARSEC directives ).
  • Ensuring proper protection and handling for Sensitive Security Information (SSI) and security-related communications.
  • Ensuring all personnel security and safety requirements and credentials are current and met in a timely fashion.
  • Oversight in assuring that all contractual and development training requirements are met.
  • Ensures a full complement of security officers are fully trained, credentialed, and scheduled to over the contractual requirements of the site.
  • When necessary and appropriate, act as designated alternate to client FSO (AFSO).
  • Oversee administrative activities of the sites, ensuring either directly or through subordinates all required documentation is completed, daily, weekly, or other reporting as required.
  • Responsible for all incident investigations and reporting.
  • Proper management and oversight of all security personnel uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintains all security equipment and systems.
  • Accountable to site FSO regarding company compliance and contractual security obligations.
  • Interacts with facility management and outside local representatives and emergency personnel.
  • Interviewing and hiring and works through subordinated on work schedules.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Ideally, this candidate will have a undergraduate degree in a related field (ie; Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Sociology, Business Administration) with at least ten years of experience in law enforcement or military service, in a supervisory capacity. At least seven years of experience leading a contract security guard force at an industrial, MTSA or CFATS regulated facility. Candidates with at least 5 years in general business/corporate environment desired. Other attributes include:

o Strong problem and decision solving skills with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
