About the role:

The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing test strategies and procedures specifically in the areas of SAP, e-commerce and PLM systems. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop test plans, create test scripts and execute test plans for large scale projects working with the Business Analyst’s and Business Leads. The position will also be responsible to conduct Audits on projects that IT delivers.

Your Team: This position has no supervisory responsibility

What you will do:

  • Set test strategies specific to SAP, e-commerce and PLM projects being in line with the SDP process.

  • Create Test Plans, Test Scripts and Execute testing for both manual and automation.

  • Test interfaces between SAP and other systems

  • Identify the master data to be tested working with Business Owners and IT tower leads

  • Work with business and development teams to understand project/program goals, objective, and requirements and set test strategies

  • Work with third party test partners for the development and execution of test plans and monitoring and reporting on test execution.

  • Maintain a test repository for the respective division assigned.

  • Report QA Status and metrics

  • Analyzing functional specs for completeness & testability, test output, identifying discrepancies and document defects

  • Conduct Quality Audits projects and programs following the SDP process

  • Work with the project managers to address the findings from the Audit

  • Ability to work in a global matrixed organization and communicate at all levels

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Communications, or other technology related program

  • 6+ years of experience in Software Testing

  • 1-2 years in automation

  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of QA Processes

  • Experience in running Testing activities and testing in SAP

  • Working knowledge of SAP modules such as OTC, PTP, FICO and SAP peripheral systems such as BI, EDI

  • QA Tools (JIRA/Zephyr, TOSCA Automation or similar test tools.)

  • Microsoft SharePoint, Office, and Outlook, Excel

  • Working knowledge of using SQL queries and VB scripts

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time

  • Willingness to work on-site at the Richardson TX or Novi, MI (Hybrid)
