The Impact Youll Make in this Role

As a Plant Electrician/ Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Supporting the delivery on our operational goals that help us provide vital products to our biopharma customers.
• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve electrical/control systems
• Drive control components, I/O, PLC devices & logic
• Field control devices
• Network systems and communication
• Perform independent preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on
• Web handling production equipment, ultrasonic welders, pleaters, pumps, heat exchangers, building HVAC, and facility utilities
• Perform basic welding, machining, and fabrication tasks using shop equipment, power tools, and precision measurement instruments
• Document work in maintenance tracking systems and develop/refine standard work for maintenance activities

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three (3) years of mechanical, electrical or mechatronic experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Ability & willingness to work rotating weekends, overtime and Holiday as needed.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Must be able to pass the required 3M test battery
• Possess or be in the last 6 months of pursuing a two-year technical degree or certificate program in an engineering or maintenance related field (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, Robotics & Automation, etc.)
• Possess good documentation skills and can read and understand electrical / mechanical prints
• Basic understanding of predictive/preventative maintenance and condition monitoring techniques

Relocation: Is not authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
