The Surgical Stepdown and SICU Assistant Nurse Manager will be joining an independent teaching hospital with the ability to grow and develop on their own as well.
The Surgical Stepdown and SICU Assistant Nurse Manager will report to the Nurse Manager of Critical Care. The Surgical Stepdown and SICU Assistant Nurse Manager responsibilities include:
- Manage a team of FTE’s including Charge Nurses, staff Nurses, and support staff
- Manage daily operations of the SICU and Surgical Step-down unit
- Develops innovative strategies to make and achieve goals
- Educates staff on new techniques and technology systems
- Hire staff and maintain a positive workplace environment, while facilitating proper communication to the team and its leaders
