Account Processor, Binghamton United Health Services is seeking an Account Processor to join our Patient Accounting Team in Binghamton, NY.
An Account Processor reviews claim status and resolves edits that are preventing the claim from billing. This is a PER DIEM position.
Shift : Days Hours per week : Varies Salary range : $15.00 - $20.25 / hour, depending on experience Account Processor Overview Under direct supervision of the Patient Accounting Supervisor, reviews account receivables in various work lists, resolving system edits that are preventing claims from billing and reviewing outstanding balances due from multiple third party payers.
Has a thorough understanding of accepted billing and payment practices. Account Processor Key Responsibilities and Expectations Reviews claim status and resolves edits that are preventing the claim from billing Using Aging work lists, contacts payers for claim status and re-bills / adjusts open balances, as necessary Initiates contact with third par.
