Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to support the enablement of the Insider Threat program. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with individuals and teams across the organization and serve as the SME for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of technology utilized in the Insider Threat space.

Responsibilities include:
  • Develop, execute and track the performance of security tools used to enable the insider threat program.
  • Design computer security strategy and engineer comprehensive cybersecurity architecture.
  • Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
  • Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure.
  • Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.
  • Serves as technical and function subject matter expert across multiple security domain areas, raising awareness and communicating security risks within the company.
  • Educating and train self and team on information system security best practices.
  • Participating in the change management process.
  • Coordinate and drive remediation of identified risks and control deficiencies.
  • Identify ways to optimize security processes and recommend opportunities and solutions for improvement and automation.
  • Daily administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with the relevant departments in the organization
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent work experience
  • Eight or more years of experience in information security
  • Two or more years of experience in IT infrastructure management, application architecture, risk management, data architecture, middleware technology, and IT operations and project management
Experience Should Include
  • 4+ years expertise in querying and performing analysis in relational databases
  • 2+ years experience using UEBA products such as Gurucul/Exabeam
  • 2+ years experience with SIEM products such as Splunk/Netwitness
  • Working knowledge in the field of Insider Threat
  • 1+ years experience with MS Azure cloud technologies
  • 1+ years experience in Cyber Security frameworks
  • Extensive knowledge of IT environment including service-oriented and IT architecture, industry trends and direction, system and technology integration, and IT standards, procedures and policies, and emerging technologies
  • Extensive knowledge of software licensing, product and vendor evaluation, technical troubleshooting, and software processing improvement
  • Experience with security tool evaluation and POC
  • Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with co-workers, customers and management
  • Participation in an On-Call rotation
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies such as Cloud (AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience with advanced reporting (Tableau, PowerBI, Excel)

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $101,150.00 - $119,000.00 - $130,900.00
