Job Description
The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Remote is responsible for partnering with assigned business units to manage sourcing needs. This includes the development of a vendor strategy, designing and administering RFXs, negotiations, contracting, and other sourcing management functions. This position also supports broader sourcing department projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
In partnership with Strategic Sourcing Leadership, set the category sourcing strategy and leverage all spend to manage category s total costs while enhancing vendor services to meet category s ever evolving needs
Assist in working with Prime business partners and Strategic Sourcing Leadership to refine the sourcing strategy to address and meet company requirements
Assist in initiating, directing and conducting all activities relating to evaluating, selecting, negotiating and implementing preferred supplier contracts and develop and maintain long-term relationships with Prime s strategic suppliers
Assist in negotiating and managing the contracting process for assigned business partners, ensuring that terms are consistent with Prime s standards and that renewals, amendments, and terminations are managed timely
Conduct data analysis, contracting, data entry, reporting, research, and other activities to establish and execute sourcing strategies within the department
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, supply chain or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
2 years strategic sourcing or similar experience
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
Prior project management experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment; collaborate and manage multiple tasks and priorities
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications
PBM/health care experience
Experience sourcing one or more of the following categories, facilities, marketing, human resources, clinical, customer service, or PBM operations
Familiarity with vendor contracting requirements in the healthcare industry (e.g., HIPAA, accreditation agencies, etc.)
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Reporting Structure
- Reports to Director, Strategic Sourcing
Potential pay for this position ranges from $56,500.00 - $85,100.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
