The Associate Electrical Engineer will work in a hands-on environment as a member of a cross-functional engineering team, providing engineering support for the development of new products and sustaining engineering of existing products. This person will work closely with product development engineers and will be involved in the product development process from initial concept, through the development, testing and manufacturing phases, as well as product lifecycle management. *This is a nicotine-free workplace. Management of engineering lab, including organization, calibrated equipment, testing equipment and supplies.Creating test procedures and 3-D printingWorking closely with a Sr. Electrical Engineer from China, so will also gain international experience Requirements: 3-5 years of payroll processing experience, multi-state preferred Knowledge in the utilization of an HRIS resource; Paylocity preferred Professional in Human Resources (HRIC-PHR) or Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designations a plus Four-year degree (Business, Human Resources) preferred Ability to multitask and handle interruptions in the day Intermediate to advanced level skills with Microsoft Office products Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong customer service mindset Detail oriented, highly organized, flexible, and adaptable Works well independently and as a team member Cooperative and patient; maintains composure in difficult or emotional situations Ability to work in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment Maintains confidentiality Must be able to sit and use computer equipment for long periods of time Must be able to work on a step ladder with hands holding 10 lbs. overhead Education and Experience: Associates degree in Electronics Technology, or Electronics Engineering 8 years of experience in the Electronics Technology field, experience with certified products (i.e. UL, CSA, CE, etc.) preferred.Experience with SMT troubleshooting, PCBA repair and soldering.Solid academic performanceMust be proficient at reading engineering drawings and bills of material.Experience using lab equipment, oscilloscope, power meters etc.Ability to read electrical/electronic schematicsExperience troubleshooting and conducting root cause analysisMechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand toolsExperience with LabView, HOBO, or other data acquisition systems.Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.Ability to work with all levels of the organization, customers, and suppliers.Mechanical ability, above average computer skills- particularly with Excel and creating charts & graphs.
