Solution Engineer


The Solutions Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process and working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our solutions. As a Solution Engineer, you will work with clients to understand their goals, develop a plan to implement GRUBBRR solutions, and help align internal and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist the sales team as the technical subject matter expert for sales engagements

  • Perform discovery calls, conducting product demonstrations and presentations, uncover customer needs and requirements, and create solutions that translate into business value propositions

  • Develop and manage a repository of product demos builds

  • Architect tailored solutions leveraging our portfolio of technology and services

  • Document client notes in Salesforce

  • Lead RFP responses

  • Assist the sales team in preparing quotes for customers

  • Prepare Scope of Work documentation, which capture the depth of client projects

  • Act as the bridge between customers and Engineering/Product, translating customer requests into product requirements

  • Work with implementation teams to ensure steady project success

  • Demonstrate value and discuss functionality of all ancillary products

  • Host learning sessions for the sales team on the technical aspects of the company's products and services

  • Develop and continually refine deep product knowledge of GRUBBRR’s product portfolio

  • Address competitive differentiation and technical objection-handling

  • Document recommended product gaps and suggested improvements



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline; Master’s Degree preferred

  • Five years of sales and/or engineering experience in a software environment

  • Deep technical expertise and acumen in B-to-B SaaS, Cloud and Enterprise Software

  • Experience providing solutions that meet customers’ needs

  • Experience responding to RFPs

  • Ability to establish strong relationships based on knowledge of customer requirements and commitment to value generation

  • Ability to interact effectively with executives, functional peer groups and subordinates to gain commitment and cooperation from others

  • Experience working directly with functional and technical resources

  • While not expected to write code, candidate must be comfortable talking with our engineers about solutions, learning from existing examples, exploring APIs, triaging bugs, and speaking on any technical aspects of the tools in our product portfolio

  • Excellent leadership, relationship building, communication (written and oral), presentation, planning and organizational skills

  • Exceptional time management skills

  • Strong presentation skills, as well as verbal and written communication abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

  • Ability to identify and propose new tasks and procedures.

  • Highly proficient with Salesforce or similar workflow software
