As the Print Specialist you will be responsible for those functions, activities, and skills required to perform print application testing of customer files in support of worldwide pre-sales process.

Required Skills and Experience :

Prepress :

• Knowledge of all prepress and desktop publishing applications (Adobe Creative Suite, Enfocus Pitstop)


• Proficient with both Mac and Windows Operating Systems


• Preflighting, preparing, editing, troubleshooting, printing customer files


• Experience with various digital front ends (EFI Fiery, Freeflow Print Server)


• Familiar with Solimar, Emtex, GMC and other VI emitters


• Proficient in Imposition, color match, and printing of files to digital color presses


• Knowledge of ICC profiles, color calibration


• Font management


• Troubleshoot and redesign files for press print quality


• Experience with various types of in-line and off-line finishing equipment


• Paper stock handling and inventory maintenance

Digital Press / Printing :

• Perform various maintenance procedures as defined by Xerox


• Makeready (qualifying the press / bringing into spec)


• Paper conditioning and identification


• Color calibration


• Quality control


• Four-color process printing (minimum requirement)


• Troubleshooting (adjust press settings to eliminate mottling, streaking, etc.)


• Networking (if applicable)


• Inventory (parts and supplies)


• In-line finishing equipment


• Experience using multiple Xerox production color digital presses preferred

Additional Skills :

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Reliable, hard-working, self-motivated, positive attitude, and flexible


• Meet all deadlines while adjusting to changing priorities


• Must possess solid organizational skills and the ability to multi-task


• Must be detail-oriented
