Hitachi Energy is seeking an IT Operations Manager. As IT Operations Manager you are responsible for building and providing specific IT Solutions/Services and support activities elaborate on scope and impacting areas

Your responsibilities

• Builds effective and trusting working relationships with all business units and IT Management;


• Contributes to the definition, development, and maintenance of IT strategic and operational plans that support Hitachi Energy global IT values and business objectives.


• Actively engage in the assessment and management of IT project portfolio for business units;


• Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with business stakeholders and process owners. Takes an active role collaborating with cross-functional IT teams at all levels of the organization to ensure that expectations and IT development efforts are aligned with business goals.


• Responsible for IT services delivery and operations for selected BUs in the north America Region;


• Continuously improves knowledge of business processes and Hitachi Energy IT landscape to better communicate IT capabilities and support IT solutions development;


• Act as a liaison between IT and Business units for the delivery services and products that are aligned to Business and functions needs, resulting in improved efficiency, effectiveness, quality and/or operational stability;


• Prioritizes tasks and responsibilities to manage country requirements and escalations seamlessly accordingly to the global targets and strategy. Ensure operational tactics supporting the business.


• Provides experience in delivery and management of local services and process at both tactical and operational levels, understanding and applying IT best practices to assess, review, manage and monitor country IT services and products.


• Manage issues, risks and decision making governance within effective time-frames for optimal business outcomes;


• Responsible to ensure compliance of IT governance and services in accordance to local legislation and company IT controls;
  
• Responsible for local IT budget;
  

Your background

• Bachelor's degree on technology/ related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT managerial positions for companies of similar size and complexity.


• Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States


• 2+ years prior experience in management of complex IT departments for large organizations;
  
• Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication and a keen attention to detail; ability to speak to both technical and non-technical users in an appropriate level of detail to ensure understanding


• High sense of urgency with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment


• Governance driven mindset, with knowledge of process improvement and quality improvement based on ITIL processes;
  
• High level understanding of IT infrastructure, applications development, ERP systems, web-based and cloud-based systems, IT security, Microsoft s collaboration tools, etc. and how these IT areas interact and support business operations;


• Domestic travel expected <25%, as well as willingness to work virtually across multiple time zones


• Fluent English communication skills & good local language skills of the major country of responsibility
