C++/C# Software/Firmware Engineer - Level I / II
This role can be performed remotely however you will periodically be required to come into the office.
Position Overview
Siemens Industry, Inc. located in Johnson city, TN is looking to fill a permanent position for a Software/Firmware Engineer. You will participate as part of an international project team to develop and release state of the art industrial automation products.
Responsibilities
Contributes to the design, implementation, and testing of both software and firmware solutions for the Siemens Industry product portfolio. You will work in an agile development environment in a team focused on delivering effective and robust solutions for our customers. As part of this team, you will be included in interactions with domestic and international stakeholders.
You must have attention to detail, proficiency in problem solving and the ability to learn new technologies as needed.
Requirements
- Education: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- This role consider both entry level position talent at 0-2 years of experience and where applicable and early career level with 3 to 5 years of experience
- Knowledge of C++/C# and a willingness to learn
- Understanding of Object-Oriented design methodologies
- Excellent attention to detail; strong work ethic, self-motivated
- Good interpersonal, communications, and teamwork skills
- Located within 150 miles of the Johnson City, TN office
Preferred
- Ability to analyze, modify, and extend existing products and tests
- Exposure to concepts used in simple drives and encoders
- Able to analyze and understand technical requirements and features
- Demonstrate good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
