Summary
Michigan Medicine is searching for a senior compensation consultant to provide consultative advice to HR business partners and Michigan Medicine leaders to proactively identify and address compensation opportunities for assigned business segment. The senior compensation consultant will also support the development and implementation of compensation programs, strategies, and projects. This is a newly created position that will be a member of both the compensation consulting and compensation program management teams. Reports to the director of compensation.
Remote and hybrid work options available with the required ability to travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan on occasion.

- Work closely with the HR manager and business partner for assigned business segment, to develop and implements Michigan Medicines compensation strategy for the assigned business segment, ensuring the appropriate accounting for the business segments unique needs.
- Lead and support high visibility compensation programs, including the design and administration of incentive plans, annual merit and labor market program, compensation education & communication, vendor, and contract management
- Collaborate with members of the compensation consulting & analyst teams, HR business partners, finance, HRIS and other key stakeholders in the administration of Michigan Medicines compensation programs
- Manage complex projects involving cross-functional teams
- Conduct in-depth market analyses, salary offers and equity analyses, completes annual compensation surveys.
- Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of progressive compensation experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience with salary survey participation, market analysis, job evaluation, and compensation plan design and administration
- Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary compensation principles and practices, core areas of compensation administration, and laws and regulations commensurate with a level of at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelors degree and at least 3 years of progressive compensation experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience with salary survey participation, market analysis, job evaluation, and compensation plan design and administration
- Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary compensation principles and practices, core areas of compensation administration, and laws and regulations commensurate with a level of at least 3 years of relevant experience

- Demonstrated technology literacy skills with proficiency in using MS office tools with the ability to create dynamic tools and models to interpret and analyze data.
