Paradigm is looking for an experienced UX/IX Designer with a strong Visual Design background to support our client's global design team. To be most successful in this role, you'll need to have experience and understanding in product design as well as a broad understanding of user-centered design. In this role, you'll be working with an interdisciplinary group to elevate the experience of interfaces across multiple digital products. This is a fast-paced, collaborative, user-centric Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate the objectives for multiple initiatives and assess how they will impact business from both a customer and company perspective.
  • Define and oversee any dependent projects needed to reach your program's overall goals.
  • Guide user research while also digging deep into data insights to develop a compelling vision for your products.
  • Work closely with your engineering counterparts to set clear goals and execute a roadmap utilizing the project resources available to you.
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end customer journey through digital support.
  • Your role will include working directly with an engineering, production & design team in all facets of day-to-day software development.
  • You will work with various stakeholders, business leaders, customers, and partners to evaluate new product opportunities and deliver brand-worthy customer experiences.
  • You know how to communicate big ideas to executives, team members, and other partners; you can summarize the details of design, using it to inspire those around you and motivate your team.
  • Work with the leadership team to ensure all contributors are aligned and bring all necessary resources to bear on each new program release.
  • Drive new customer-facing initiatives through the development process, with an empathic focus on the end-user.
  • Lead design discussions across cross-functional teams.
  • Work with business teams and product teams to translate business requirements to software requirements and specifications.
  • Work with project teams to break down requirements into executable Initiatives and Project Epics.
  • Enable clarity on customer experience-related non-functional requirements (usability, accessibility, performance, security, etc.)
  • Work with software architects to develop a deep understanding of existing / new technology capabilities to address customer needs.
  • Organize and track jobs, clarify project scopes, manage project escalations, and problem-solve.
  • Influence others across the organization to remain focused on desired outcomes and deadlines.
  • Generate targeted presentations and reports for different internal and/or external audiences.
  • In collaboration with other product owners, and customer insight teams to define the solution strategy and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team and ensure that products are being designed/developed/tested as per requirements & quality expectations.
  • Proof-of-Concepts (PoC-s) etc. to understand customer feedback and bring insights back to the organization.

  • Bachelor's or higher in a related field – User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Graphic Design, Interactive Design, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Science, Information Design, or the equivalent professional experience, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Typically 5+ years of professional experience as a User Experience, Product, or Interaction Designer; Information Architect; or similar with an extensive understanding of UX principles and heuristics, with product, program, or project management experience a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present both visual and technical content to executive and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to solve complex problems
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • A get-things-done attitude and willingness to put the needs of your team first to help them successfully ship new or improved software
  • Demonstrated success guiding cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ship successful software products
  • Experience with leading and driving end to end strategy and product roadmap for one or more complex products
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative background to support data-informed decision making, experience working closely with data science and/or engineering teams a plus.
  • Ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences
  • Experience working with designers to create useful, usable, delightful products.
  • A portfolio that shows your process, such as using research to frame problems and collaboratively solving them with cross-functional teams is a plus.
  • As a User Interface Designer for the Global Experience Design team, you will collaborate closely with other designers, researchers, product managers, software engineers, and many others to solve complex challenges and craft powerful experiences that highlight capabilities and personalities.
