Food delivery startup is hiring! They are on a mission to make food deliveries better with a proprietary logistics engine and application that is changing how local economies operate.

You will work on a variety of high-impact features for our order integration system (JavaScript, Node.js, MongoDB) ingesting thousands of orders a day through multiple sources such as APIs, Hooks, emails, etc, our developer portal to manage API credentials and webhooks, improve API documentation and examples, and work on custom integrations with partners.

Job Details

About The Role

• You will be responsible for our publicly facing REST APIs
• Collaborate closely with the CTO for ramping up to become the subject matter expert for Relay's API integrations
• Lead and work closely with a junior engineer on Order Ingestion/API tasks and projects
• Take ownership of onboarding, testing, and maintaining API integrations with new platforms
• Be part of the team's on-call rotations

What You'll Need

• BS or MS in computer science or information technology, or equivalent experience required
• 5+ years professional coding experience
• Expertise in Javascript/Node.js
• Self-learner, independent, and have outstanding problem-solving skills

Bonus Points

• Experience with Express.js
• Experience with MongoDB and RDBMS is a plus! (We use Postgres)
• Messaging broker server experience is a plus (we use RabbitMQ)
• AWS platform experience
• Experience scaling APIs
• Experience with jQuery/Cheerio
