OWC is searching for Channel Marketing Specialists with seven different focuses:

The Channel Marketing Specialist is responsible for defining, implementing, and measuring marketing plans and demand generation programs for OWC and Newer Technology products across all retail, ecommerce, reseller, and distribution partners, as well as direct corporate, education, and government verticals. This includes all aspects of content and collateral creation, introduction and ongoing management of partner programs, direct marketing activities, awareness, and promotional campaigns, and both partner and channel events. Long-term responsibilities may also include overall channel pricing and promotional strategies.

The Channel Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing detailed strategic marketing plans for key customers as well as each specific channel or vertical therein. They will work closely with both the Sales and Marketing teams to create and drive all channel initiatives, will continuously deliver ROI reporting metrics on all executed activities, and provide marketing reviews on a regular basis.

We are seeking an experienced candidate who can thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment while being able to multi-task and prioritize in real-time. This role requires strong written communication, visual design, analytical, project management and team leadership skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic channel promotions and/or marketing plans to help drive specific channel sales goals.
  • Coordinate market development activities including channel or vertical specific email blast, events, and merchandising materials
  • Expand and grow existing customer-level marketing relationships.
  • Work with the sales team to effectively implement channel programs and initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate revenue and inventory forecasts to efficiently support channel promotions.
  • Design and implement methods to quantify ROI from channel marketing programs, promotion campaigns and co-marketing activities with customers and channel partners.
  • Analyze promotional strategies to determine profitability and make recommendations for future needs.
  • Communicate the effectiveness of all programs, promotions, and lead generation activities to senior management on a monthly basis or as challenges and opportunities arise.
  • Manage MDF budgets and all related activities to achieve profitable growth.
  • Align channel marketing communications strategies with brand strategies.
  • Meet with senior management to develop regular and promotional pricing strategies.
  • Lead new product launch efforts within each vertical and/or channel by developing necessary collateral, communication strategy, merchandising, training tools, and other related activities.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor pricing, market and channel trends and adjust channel strategies accordingly.
  • Consistently convey market research, competitor positions and customer requirements to management on a timely basis.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and technologies as it relates to our products, customers, and markets.
  • Travel required as needed to support sales on customer visits, training and/or strategic events.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 3-5 years channel marketing experience in consumer electronics, computer hardware and/or software.
  • Solid understanding of consumer electronics products, services, and their competitive equivalents.
  • Prefer experience marketing SSD, storage, memory, computer accessories and solutions.
  • Understanding of both direct and indirect sales distribution channels, methods, and processes.
  • Flexible, detail-oriented self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment, operating both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
  • Gain confidence and establish effective relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced PC and MAC skills with strong Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, MBA preferred.
