Our enterprise solutions teams work directly with entrepreneurs and brands like these to help them develop and drive their commerce strategies. As a lead for the Shopify Demo Engineeringteam, you will work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering and prospective enterprise brands to provide critical support in the closure of new business. Demo Engineers develop strategic tools and conceptual solutions that are designed to wow merchants, thus accelerating their realization of what’s possible with Shopify. You will be in charge of owning your team’s development, growth and performance. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the enterprise commerce ecosystem, tenured experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and proven leadership experience managing direct reports’ personal growth while driving impact to the business.Your responsibilities:Lead a team building and owning applications illustrating the power of the Shopify platformMonitor and report on team performance to senior leadership on a regular basis including, but not limited to development and project based workTriage and assign custom demo application build requests for strategic merchant sales engagementsCo-design and develop with the team to build custom storefront prototypes on the Shopify platformUncover opportunities to develop automated demo tools that improve efficiency for the sales team in merchant engagementsCreate strong, cross-functional working relationships with global sales and solutions teams to engage, partner and execute within those respective regionsDevelop, coach and mentor the team to enable them to excel and grow within their rolesCommunicate feedback to Product teams to help influence the roadmap of the most adopted commerce solution on the planetIdentify areas of improvement and make recommendations based on data, analytics and best practicesQualificationsYou’ll need to have:Proven team leadership skills from prior experienceHands-on experience with front end website development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ruby on Rails, React, Remix, Next.js or other JS frameworks) Solid technical aptitude - Quick to develop a deep understanding of new software and emerging technologiesPassion for people leadership and proven experience leading/hiring/building world-class teamsStrong organizational and project management skills to support a range of build requests with the keen ability to multitask and re-prioritize on an ongoing basisExemplary verbal, presentation and written communication skillsDesire to work and thrive in a rapidly changing environment It’d be great if you have experience in these areas:Building, launching and maintaining Shopify stores, as well as general knowledge of the admin systemShopify's Themes and Liquid templatingShopify Hydrogen and/or Storefront API Shopify Rust (for Shopify Functions)Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API and MetafieldsShopify’s GraphQL admin and REST APIsWorking with 3rd party services and APIs, specifical plugins for ShopifyUsing code hosting and version control platforms such as GithubDesigning frontend mockups and wireframes using technologies such as Adobe DesignSuite or FigmaAdditional Information#LI-SK2 #LI-REMOTESummaryType: Full-timeFunction: Sales
