THE OPPORTUNITY
The Client is seeking a Sr Cloud Engineer who is comfortable working in a challenging and diverse environment to take ownership of our MS Azure infrastructure. You will also provide escalation level support to internal team members and external clients via phone, email, chat or in person. Candidates should be highly motivated, self-motivated and have excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills. They must be a strong team player able to lead, train and collaborate with others. A CCIE or similar certification is preferred
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Plan, design, implement and maintain the complex, enterprise-wide Azure IaaS and PaaS services
- Ensure all aspects of the entire enterprise Azure environment is architecturally sound and highly available
- Research existing and emerging technologies that align with business requirements and provide effective solutions based upon extensive professional experience, industry best practices, knowledge of industry technologies through formal training and/or self-study.
- Evaluate the current Azure architecture and develop action plans to make necessary improvements.
- Develop and maintain accurate support documentation in a knowledge repository
- Perform environment performance monitoring, trending, and capacity planning for the Azure infrastructure
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Mastery in at least two of the following categories: Azure IaaS management, ASR, Azure BaaS, ANF, AKS, and ARC
- Skilled in hybrid data center environments - connecting on-prem to cloud data centers (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP)
5+ years of working experience in large enterprise (Fortune 1000) infrastructure teams - (Azure, VMWare, Dell, HP, NetApp, Pure, EMC) is preferred
- Certifications are highly recommended - (i.e., MS Azure Foundations, MS Azure Admin, MCA Windows Server Hybrid Admin, etc.)
