Supplier Quality Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for one of our largest clients in Irvine, CA.

This individual will be joining the Airbus Transformation team, responsible for providing quality leadership for production, work transfers, and new development programs.

They will be coaching suppliers on the development of AS9145 compliant PPAP artifacts including FMEAs, control plans, measurement systems analyses, capability studies, and ensuring prompt and complete problem resolution through the application of 8D.

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be monitoring supplier quality and drive improvement initiatives on incoming materials and components for critical or high-risk suppliers, in addition to evaluating supplier performance and lead efforts to eliminate defects on a systemic scale.

This role will be onsite in Irvine, CA.

ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or CQE Certification

Geometric dimensioning experience with ANSI Y14.5 someone who can interpret manufacturing blueprints and tolerance requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering field (Aerospace, Manufacturing, Mechanical, etc.)

Previous experience within the Aerospace or Automotive industry in a manufacturing, assembly, and test environment

Experience in PPAP and APQP document creation and approval

Experience with machined parts, castings, springs, seals, electronic components, wire harnesses, special processes, assemblies and test methods

Proven problem solving ability on complex electromechanical products
