**About the team**

In this role, you'd be joining the Workplace team which is part of the broader People and Places organization. The team's mission is to build and support work environments that are welcoming, comfortable, and intuitive; supportive of collaboration, wellbeing, and productivity; and centered around the rigorous safety, security, and confidentiality we employ as a financial services company.

**What you'll do**

We're looking for an organized, flexible, and detail-oriented person who's enthusiastic about - and has a driving need to deliver-the best possible workplace experience for Stripes. You'll own day-to-day office experience for our South San Francisco headquarters office. This includes: overseeing all operations of our Oyster Point campus, partnering with cross functional workplace teams to support the implementation of programming aligned with the future of work at Stripe, overseeing and project managing in-office events, support with scaling existing programs, and building and strengthening vendor relationships to support how we keep Bay Area-based Stripes engaged and productive.

**Responsibilities**


* Create great first impressions; manage a team of FTEs and contractors who own Stripe's workplace experience, ensuring both guests and employees have a positive, friction-free experience from when they walk through the door to when they leave

* Work closely with Workplace colleagues, cross-functional partner teams, functional leaders, and executives to determine the operational services needed to build and support Stripe's evolving Workplace philosophies

* Responsible for the flawless event execution of Stripe events, which includes directly project managing events and managing teams that would directly execute events

* Work closely with the local site leadership team to plan office events that activate the office by creating engagement, connection, and an inclusive environment

* Use vendor management best practices to provide Stripes best-in-class service whether issues are resolved in-house, by building management or by one of our partners

* Partner with EHS manager to ensure health and safety regulations are met

* Craft relevant communications and documentation regarding Workplace policies and programs for Stripes.

* Work closely with our Finance & Strategy partner to develop and oversee the opex budget for all facilities, opex, fixed assets and events of the SF office.

* Partner with the culinary team to manage snack and beverage program aligned with Stripe's healthy food and beverage philosophy

* Support space planning, office expansions, and layout changes as required; coordinate move logistics

* Provide support to other AMER offices, as needed, including potential for travel

* Support the Workplace team's goals by taking on ad hoc tasks and projects as they arise

**Minimum requirements**


* 8+ years of experience in office/hospitality management in a fast-paced environment with a strong customer service orientation and an understanding of operational best practices

* Demonstrated ability in facilities management, including vendor and budget management

* Strength in building relationships with key internal partners to ensure efficiency and understanding on cross-functional projects

* Experience managing a team focused on customer service/hospitality, with the ability and desire to develop and coach your team

* Strong project management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace with experience managing simultaneous projects with changing deadlines and priorities, while staying committed to quality

* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills


**Preferred qualifications**


* Ability to operate independently, digging into problems to understand the root cause and delivering scalable solutions

* Orientation toward rolling up your sleeves to get things done

* A driving need to deliver the best possible experience with high attention to detail---you may have been called a perfectionist once or twice

* Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack and Jira

* Experience supporting or managing company events
