Director, Quality Assurance NORA: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family VF Corporation is searching for an experienced Director Quality Assurance to work within a global team focused on Quality Assurance and Release Management. The selected candidate will be a part of a group focused on delivering digital commerce, retail store, and enterprise capabilities for our exciting brands in North America and Europe: Vans, The North Face, Timberland, Icebreaker, Altra, Napapijri, Eastpak, Kipling, Smartwool, and JanSport. This individual will partner with Design, Product, Engineering, Security, and Support organizations to define best practices and ensure world class experiences. Key Accountabilities: Support the vision and subsequent strategies for a centralized Global Enterprise Quality & Release organization. Manage a high-performing team of experts focused on improving overall quality of digital products and production releases. Drive continuous improvement across QA and Release processes, focusing on lean, smart automation and repeatability. Lead the team to perform all levels of testing including functional and non-functional, system integration, load/performance, security and automated regression testing using state of the art methods and tools. Act as point of contact and liaison with all technology partners to ensure modernized processes to release new enhancements with high quality and on a timely basis. Be a trusted advisor with all brand partners to ensure business needs and customer experience are represented through the quality lifecycle. Evangelize the importance of quality and stability throughout the SDLC. Directly influence quality and test initiative timelines through effort estimations; plan resource allocations and project requirements. Knowledge, Capabilities, and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience. 10 years of overall software industry experience with at least 5 years of progressive technology leadership experience in managing highly complex technical teams. Excellent knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies within Digital, Cloud, Application development with proven experience in quality engineering leadership. Demonstrable experience in Software Engineering fundamentals with proven track record of building, leading and managing QA teams globally. Superior analytical skills and attention to detail, with good business judgment, and exceptional maturity, diplomacy and communication skills (both written and verbal). Results oriented leader with a strong work ethic. Must be tenacious, with the emotional intelligence to know when to push harder and when to look for alternative approaches. Experience managing highly efficient engineering teams both onshore and offshore. Working experience in applicable domains financial services, ecommerce, retail product, and emerging technologies. Salary Range: $144,000.00 USD - $216,000.00 USD annually Annual Incentive Eligibility: This position is eligible to participate in a VF Incentive Plan.
