- Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent, technical training or degree.
- Desired: Certified Mission Critical Operator (CMCO) Certification.
- Desired 5 years (+) related work experience, in a technical, critical environment operation.
- Required: Operating Engineer or other applicable licenses and Universal CFC s license.
- Ability to understand and interpret various design and construction documents relating to critical sites, spaces and systems. Work with design professionals or project management to keep record drawings updated as required.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and software such as MS Office and email
- Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to operate, troubleshoot, self-perform repair, maintenance and service required for continuous operation of all building infrastructure. (Including but not limited to)
- Ability to maintain professional bearing and calm demeanor under duress during service emergencies.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of mission critical systems, including HVAC, Standby emergency power, uninterruptable power supplies, computer room air conditioning/handling, associated infrastructure and the interdependency of these systems in delivering 100% Uptime.
- Familiarity with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platforms. Strong understanding of Mission Critical system operations, maintenance, engineering and design principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to assess the status of the building and its infrastructure systems, diagnose and troubleshoot alarms, solve technical problems and deal with a variety of options in varying situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
- Rotating on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year depending on the needs of the business (shift adjustments from time to time).
