Production Support Engineer

Caron Products is a rapidly growing innovative laboratory equipment company delivering products into pharmaceutical, clinical, biotech, and academia markets.  We are looking for an individual who is well-rounded and able to support the development of new products as well as assist in maintaining existing product designs.  Candidates must possess a general engineering knowledge of basic mechanical & electrical systems.  The role would include working with all aspects of the Caron team to:

• Support New Product Development activities from conceptual design, through prototype building & testing, to training and documentation.


• Test, troubleshoot, & perform root cause analysis for customers, internal, & remote personnel.


• Support regulatory testing & compliance; generate appropriate documentation.


• Draw schematics & parts in CAD.


• Write & update technical documentation including user’s manuals.


• Provide technical support to sales, production, service, & procurement.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants are required to multi-task and work well with a wide variety of technical disciplines and other departments such as manufacturing, procurement, and service.  Desired skills include Solidworks, PDM, AutoCAD, MS Office, and a programming language.  Teamwork & self-motivation skills are a must.  Work setting is a team environment where respect, integrity, open communication, and responsiveness are highly valued; the accomplishment of company goals is rewarded.  Minimum education is a 4-year degree in an engineering field (likely mechanical or electrical).  Compensation for this full-time position is based on background and experience.
